The Calypso Shark 612 Waterjet cutting machine is one of the very few waterjets in the market that has dual heads. This means we can cut 2 of the same part at once. Since we can cut 2 parts at the same time we are generally 70% faster than single head competition. The dual heads allow us to increase production quantities without sacrificing time and more importantly, without sacrificing quality.
A key capability that has proven to set us apart is our ability to cut more delicate materials with minimal blemishes such as glass, brass and nylon. This is due to its bed design in which we cut on top of plastic grates that eliminate spray back. But for more larger and rugged materials we can remove these plastic grates and cut directly onto the steel grate supports.
The manufacturers have developed this machine to be very versatile. The 612's capabilities range from a production workhorse, producing large quantities of the same product, to low production, for one-time runs or specialty jobs.
The addition of this waterjet has not only made us more efficient than our competitors, it has also given us more power. The 612's 60 horsepower pump produces an unprecedented 60,000 p.s.i., the highest pressure in the waterjet industry today. We cut between 25% to 40% faster than the competition's 50,000 p.s.i. pumps on single head use.
We also have a complete water filtration system that cleans, purifies and cools, which proves for better quality, and recycles the water it uses, which results in a cost savings that we pass onto our clients.
